Imbolc, January 29, 2006
As has become our recent custom, CTC honors the goddess Brigid at our Imbolc ceremony. This ritual focuses on the Goddess in her poet/muse aspect, as we become still and quiet to listen to the inspiration that Brighid plants within us. Whether your artistic medium involves making music, painting, drawing, sculpting, dancing, or writing, please feel free to bring your tools (and any magical tools as well) to place on the forge altar for the blessing of the Goddess. Also, we will incorporate the tending of Brigid's flame in this ritual - so if you have or wish to create a special Brigid candle, please bring it with you. Note: this ritual will be conducted with a bare minimum of spoken words to ensure that we don't overtalk the voice of the goddess. We will meet in Rooms 4/5 of the CARE Building at ERUUF at 5:00PM with the ritual beginning at 5:30PM. Please bring food to share in a feast afterwards! Directions to ERUUF can be found on our Directions page.

Lammas, July 30th, 2006
This year's Lammas ritual will be two-fold celebration: First Harvest and the traditional beginning of the Hunting season. The first part of the ritual will focus on First Harvest - what we've accomplished so far this year. We'll state our accomplishments, either silently or aloud as each person so chooses. We'll take these accomplishments as nourishment. We'll pass around bread and fresh berries, and mead (apple cider or water for those who wish for something non-alcoholic). The second part of the ritual will focus on the Hunt. Now that we are nourished by what we've harvested, we will set out on our spiritual Hunt. In meditation, we will explore our natural abilities to seek out what it is that we want and/or need in our lives, and ask the God and Goddess to help us rediscover our natural wisdom and prowess, and bless us as we embark on the Hunt for whatever we seek in our mundane lives as well as our spiritual lives. We will take this knowledge with us into our daily lives, remembering that we can accomplish whatever it is that we set ourselves out to do. A potluck will follow. So bring whatever foods you wish to share.
Mabon, September 17th, 2006
As the wheel turns we come to the second of the three harvest festivals, Mabon, the Autumn Equinox. This is a time of the Mysteries, of balance, of light being overtaken by darkness, a time when most crops have been gathered, and it is a time for thanksgiving. This Mabon we will stop and take a moment to survey the harvest each of us has produced over the season. Come join us as we celebrate in Celtic fashion this time of the Mysteries and Thanksgiving. We will meet in the sanctuary at the UU Congregation of Hillsborough at 5:00PM with the ritual beginning at 5:30PM. Please bring food to share in a feast afterwards! Directions to UUCH can be found on our Directions page.
