Ostara, March 23rd, 2008
Ostara, Spring Equinox, where the light and dark are balanced for but a day. As the darkness of Winter fades in the new light of Spring, the world comes back to life! Flowers bloom, eggs hatch and bunnies do… what bunnies do! And in the myth of the Goddess and God, the children reborn enjoy the joy of life and the warming of the earth!
This Spring Equinox we will gather together to celebrate the return of warmth and the joy of life. We will honor the balance of light and dark with a fun ritual celebrating the joy of chocolate! We will invoke the Mother of Chocolate and the Chocolate God, enjoying their bounty and goodness, and partake in the deliciousness of chocolate as it flows forth to nourish the land.

Beltane, May 4th, 2008
The Wheel turns. The fields have been plowed and sown and we eagerly await what bounty that will be brought forth at Midsummer. Now as Beltane approaches we revel in the fecund energy of new growing things as life is surging all around us. We bath in its wonder as it is pulsing, growing, and rushing to fill in all the fallow and empty spaces of this past winter. What is growing in your life? What seeds have you planted? What needs the energy and passion of Beltane to help manifest a fruitful and bountiful harvest for you this year? This Beltane we will gather together in Community to focus this energy and empower ourselves to be successful in all our endeavors be they Spiritual, personal or of a business nature. Bring a small item you wish to place at the top of our May Pole to be charged with energy that you can take with you through the year as a reminder of your dedication and commitment to nourish the seeds you have sown this spring.
Come and join Celebrate the Circle as we celebrate Beltane this Sunday May 4th at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Hillsborough at 1710 Old NC 10 Hillsborough, NC. We will gather starting at 5 and Ritual starts at 5:30. Bring a dish to share in the feasting to follow.
