Celebrate The Circle Pagan Picnic at Lake Jordan July 31
Come join Celebrate The Circle at Lake Jordan for a Pagan Picnic on Saturday July 31 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
We have reservations for Jordan Lake State Park at the Ebenezer Shelter #2 from 4 until 8:00 PM. The site has restroom access and beach access (.4 mile away, so a little hike to the beach). No electricity at the site. There are walking trails and picnic tables.
Cost: $6 per car entrance fee.
What to bring:
- Drinks (no alcoholic beverages as this is a state park site)
- Potluck stuff
- Swimming stuff (including sunscreen if you need it)
Directions to the site: http://www.ncparks.gov/Visit/parks/jord/directions.php
Traveling east on I-40 from Greensboro, take exit 274, NC 751/Jordan Lake, go south on 751 and turn right onto US 64 to travel west. The park office is on the left just before the bridge over Jordan Lake.
Ebenezer Church: To reach Ebenezer Church from US 64, at Wilsonville, turn south on Beaver Creek Road/SR1008. The park entrance is 1.6 miles on the right.
(Please note that GPS units apparently don't find the right way to the park.)
Call Ceffly (919) 627-1370 when you get to the park if you have problems finding the shelter.
Welcome to Celebrate the Circle (CTC), the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Hillsborough (UUCH) chapter of the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS), located in Hillsborough, NC. CTC is a group of open-minded women and men who gather together to learn, share and worship in an Earth-centered environment. We draw from many sources that include but are not limited to Pagan, Neo-pagan, Wiccan, Druid, Native American, indigenous societies and other alternative and Earth-based or Earth-centered spiritualities.
We welcome all newcomers that share our interests in learning, sharing and celebrating life. Our rituals are open to all, whether they attend Learning Circles or not. If you would like to learn more about us, contact us.
Children are welcome, but generally childcare is not provided.
Bright Blessings to all!
